It Looks Like its LEANING!

This is my fabulous cake - strawberry and chocolate layers, with pink cream cheese frosting - made by Superman Steve.  Yes, it IS that crooked - that's what happens when you bake cakes in an oven that needs to be LEVELED!! I helped Steven try to trim the layers, to help with the leaning, but it was hopeless. It just wanted to LEAN.  I don't care - I LOVE IT!

Birthdays are always fun. This one was great - my kids and husband made it so! We ate delicious tacos for dinner, followed by my lovely cake and chocolate chip ice cream.  The family gave me a beautiful red mini-rose plant, a mango-papaya scented candle - heavenly! They also gave me a new sheet cake pan, a new bread pan (my plan is to gradually replace my inferior bread pans), my very own "Mommy" glass that is pink and flowery (certain people in our family like to ALWAYS steal my water glass) and.... the ENTIRE 2nd season of Psych!!  Yipee!!!

I should not expect perfection (I guess I kind of do) - because it never is, but close. I like what Victoria said yesterday - she wished for me to have an "imperfectly" perfect day. And that's definitely what it was!   There will be more partying this Sunday at Ashbrooks... can't wait!  Until then, we will keep working on eating my huge, 4 layer cake.  I think I'll get it out in the morning and everyone can have it for breakfast. Bill Cosby does it. Why can't I?  And there will be some big-time cake eating while we enjoy Psych - YES!!
