School Days

The kids are in their fourth week of school now. Things are going well, and everybody has adjusted and is happy. Yeah!!

#1 Princess is a freshman in high school. She goes to early morning seminary, and has volleyball until 5pm every day. She comes home to lots of homework, practices piano, plays with her kitties, and on Tuesdays, rushes off to Young Womens at the church. She's a busy girl, but is happy.

#2 Funny Boy is in 6th grade at Santa Rosa Academy in Wildomar - a charter school that's still small right now, but growing rapidly. He likes it a lot - wears a uniform, has made new friends, and has two teachers. He has lots of homework, soccer twice a week, Scouts on Tuesdays. But he still has time to be a kid and play outside with the rest of us.

#3 is a 1st grader and goes to school all day now - he says to me every morning as I'm dropping him off, "Goodbye Mom, see you in 6 hours!" He's so excited to be growing up, and he pretends to not like homework, but he secretly does. His schedule is pretty free, so he and #4 play and play. They're good buddies (when they're not trying to kill each other!)

#4 and 5 are home with me. We have lots of fun reading books, listening to music at baby's insistence, playing outside, eating snacks, etc. They're so adorable and sweet and I wish I could keep them this little forever.

Life is good - stressful, chaotic, and loud, but good! We are very blessed.
